Bit of a run along Norman's Beach!

Norman's Beach, between Cooden and Pevensey, is a fabulous stretch of pebbles and sand and space to run! So easy to park along the top of the beach, there is plenty of space for everyone, including black labs! There is loads of sand as the tide goes out, and plenty of shells to collect...

If you are unsure of which beach loves dogs, check out British Beaches which also has info on facilities, access and water quality.

Thank you Dawn for sharing a fantastic afternoon. One day, I will walk your dog! xx

Sunset over Brighton

Brighton sunset, September '14

One of the great things about mobile phones is being able to capture images like this; no need to carry a camera with you on the off chance of seeing a beautiful sight like this!

Thanks to my friend Sara for sharing an amazing view...

Ravenside - Flashback Friday!

Tide's out at Ravenside
For a whole day out at the beach, a big favourite has to be the beach behind the Ravenside retail park. Free parking on the main road, very delicious cafe, and it's only a short walk along the top of the beaches till you find your perfect spot!

The massive imported stones create the perfect backdrop for your towels and as you can see, when the tide is out, the sand goes on for ever and ever....

Hastings Seafood & Wine Festival

Hastings Seafood & Wine Festival is on this weekend; Saturday 20th and Sunday 21st September in Hastings old town. It's only £2 per adult and you get some great music whilst you sample all the fishy delights! It's a great opportunity to find out more about fish dishes - recipes, preparation and of course, which wine to drink with it!.

Brighton Pier

Brighton Pier

I used to visit Brighton a lot, and can remember my parents driving us down from West Sussex on a regular basis. I don't visit so much any more, partly because Hastings - Eastbourne has so much to offer, but when I do go, the pier is a must!

Note, the beach isn't actually as overcrowded as some daily newspapers like to suggest with their stock photo!

Bexhill in the morning

Bexhill beach huts + 1!
I do love to be beside the seaside, much more than I love being at work! Luckily, I get to park along Bexhill seafront (for free, no less) which at least gives me the chance to enjoy the scenery as I wander along to the high street. The seagull seemed pretty happy too...
